Kenilworth Gospel Chapel
Breaking of Bread
Following the Lord's command for believers to observe the Lord's Supper until He returns, we meet each Sunday morning to worship our Lord through the reading of scripture, singing of hymns, offering of prayer. This is followed by the observance of the Lord's Supper (aka Breaking of Bread, Communion, Eucharist).
Children are welcome and encouraged to attend, but there is childcare available.
Cake and Coffee
Between services cake and coffee (and cookies for the young at heart) are provided in the kitchen area on the lower level of the chapel.
Family Bible Hour
Each Sunday we gather to sing hymns and choruses followed by bible teaching / preaching by our own local men or special speakers from around the world. We are currently following a format that will take us through the bible in five years.
Childcare is available for infants. School aged children are encouraged to attend our Sunday School which also meets at 11am.
On the last Sunday of each month, the messages for the Family Bible Hour (11am Service) are based on topics from the ECS Ministries’ book, “Basic Christian Training.” Previously used here at the chapel for new believer classes and small groups, BCT is just one in a series of Christian Training workbooks which present various scriptural topics foundational to our faith. Together we will go through topics our previous classes and groups have not gone through.
Sunday School
Open to children age 3 through grade 12, our Sunday School program teaches children the Bible at age appropriate levels. While the younger students learn the stories and basic Christian beliefs, the older students the practical application of the scriptures.
Nursery Care
Nursery care is available during the Family Bible hour for newborns through age 2.
Bible Studies & Groups
We also meet together throughout both at the chapel and in local homes the week for bible study, prayer and in small groups. Everyone who attends Kenilworth Gospel Chapel is encouraged to attend not just Sunday Morning services, but to get involved in our smaller groups as well. "They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people and the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved." Acts 2:42, 46-47 NASB
